Questions you might have

Does it lose any data during conversion?
No. ChatPipe is lossless — full message content is preserved across all format conversions. HTML formatting is stripped to clean text, but every word is intact.
Do I need to install anything?
Only Python 3.7+. Zero external dependencies — no pip install, no npm, no brew. Download and run.
Can it handle thousands of messages?
Yes. Tested with exports containing thousands of messages. The script is memory-efficient and handles large files without issues.
What if the output file already exists?
ChatPipe auto-increments: export.json → export_1.json → export_2.json. It never overwrites by accident.
Can I use it in scripts and CI/CD?
Absolutely. Clean exit codes (0 on success, non-zero on failure). Designed for shell pipelines and automation.
